On May 15, 2009 an amendment to the regulations will take effect. CIC annual renewal forms for associations will standardize the associations expiration date.
Normally each association has an annual renewal date expiring a month after the annual meeting is held. With this change the association registration is current for one year and whatever your renewal date is currently it will remain the same no matter when your Annual meeting is held. Previously so many associations changed their annual meeting date the CIC department found themselves constantly changing registrations. The only caveat is that if there are any changes to what was previously reported the association must notify the CIC Board office in writing within 30 days.
