Bill Bray, Attorney – Bray Knicely Law, PLLC
William “Bill” Bray’s law practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate, as well as counseling local businesses, and litigation related to such matters.
Prior to becoming an attorney, the Montreal Expos selected Bill with the 13th overall pick in the 2004 Major Lease Baseball draft. He made his Major League debut in 2006 as a member of the Washington Nationals. Traded to the Cincinnati Reds later that summer, Bill spent six seasons in Cincinnati, pitching in over 250 games. During his playing career, Bill was actively involved in Major League Baseball Players Association, serving as an elected team representative for the Reds. He also served on the MLBPA’s player licensing and executive subcommittees.
After retiring from baseball, Bill returned to Williamsburg, finishing his undergraduate degree at the College of William & Mary in 2015. He became a double Tribe member in 2018 after earning a J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
Bill lives in Williamsburg with his wife, Elaine, and their four children. Since the summer of 2022, he has had the honor of serving as an Elder of LifePointe Christian Church in Toano. He also remains active in baseball, serving on the Board of Directors for Major League Alumni Marketing.
