David Burks business background includes starting and running his own farm for twenty-two years that include a meat processing facility that he developed and sold after building it from the ground up. He understands what it takes to start, work, market, and grow a business from the beginning to the end.  During that time, he also managed an extensive personal real estate portfolio of his own.

Raised in the coal fields of Southern West Virginia, and a United States Navy Veteran, David has resided in New Kent County since 1999.  He is a member and active in the New Kent Chamber of Commerce, the New Kent Public Safety Foundation, and the New Kent Relay for Life, as well as other community activities.  

David has personal and business relationships spanning from Hampton Roads to Goochland and from South Hill to Fredericksburg.
